Description: Short lived succulent with prostrate shoots and a central taproot.
Flowers: Large, solitary flowers with numerous, shiny light ellow petals. Fruit is a cone shaped capsule that splits open when drying and is easily dispersed by the wind.
Leaves: Slender, bright grey-green to green. Irregularly scattered along the stem and clustered near stem tips.
Reproduction: By seed, wind dispersal.
Flowering: Late summer through autumn.
Habitat and Ecology: Native to South Africa.
