Description: Ascending to decumbent perennial herb with stems reaching 50 cm long. Pubescent. Long taproot.
Flowers: Usually paired. Pink with yellowish veins or purple in color with 4-6 mm petals and 3-4 mm long sepals. Seeds are black to dark brown with deep equal sided pits.
Leaves: Opposite on flowering stems.Lower leaves 4 to 15 cm long blades 2 to 4 cm wide, divided into 3 to 5 broad segments.
Reproduction:
Flowering: June through February.
Habitat and Ecology: Native to Australasia
