Common names: Miniature Dandelion, Smooth Cat's Ear
Description: Annual, 10 to 40 cm high with glabrous stems and a taproot.
Flowers: Solitary on branched stems, 3 to 10 mm in diameter with bright yellow florets. Produce seed with 8-10 mm long white, bristly pappus.
Leaves: Basal leaves are 2 to 15 cm long with toothed margins usually glabrous, although sometimes have a few hairs present. Leaves are reduced upwards (if present at all).
Reproduction: By seed. Carried by the wind.
Flowering: March to June
Habitat and Ecology: Native to Europe.
