Description: An annual, herbacous geophyte (has a bulb), spread by rhizomes and growing up to 2.5 m tall.
Flowers: Showy white spathe, shaped like a funnel with a big, yellow, finger-like spadix.
Leaves: 15 to 45 cm long
Reproduction: Rhizomes, and by seed.
Flowering: Late spring/ fall
Habitat and Ecology: Native to Africa.
